In 1958 Kenneth & Neoma Goddard started this company. Many of you knew and worked with them. Starting out, Kenneth poured paving and Neoma ran the office. What a team!!
Louie Locke joined our company in winter of 1959. He worked with diligence and a “don’t quit” attitude to help build this company and worked here until his passing in May of 2002. Raymond Ballard was hired in spring of 1962. Although he still claims to be a truck driver he continues to ‘tough it out’ proving to be a master of many trades.
Kenneth wanted us to be ‘the best small ready mix company’ around. They all worked together, long and hard, alongside many of us until Kenneth passed in August of 1997. At that time Neoma moved to Chairman of the Board of Directors, Kelly moved to President of the company, Louie and Raymond remained Vice-Presidents and Philip Locke and Darrell Heard were named Vice-Presidents.
Through Integrity, hard work, persistence and hardheadedness, these outstanding individuals are why we have a great company to work for. Kenneth and Neoma set and met the high standards we still strive for at Goddard Concrete Co. Inc. We would like to thank you for your hard work, your dedication, and being a part of our 50th year!! |
